Welcoming Our New CEO, Kristen Genovese

Please join us in welcoming Kristen Genovese as the new Chief Executive Officer of Cancer Support Community Arizona.

Kristen brings more than 28 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, behavioral health, and whole‑person care, and a genuine passion for ensuring no one faces cancer alone.

Kristen steps into this role with a clear and heartfelt focus: expanding access to no‑cost emotional and social support programs so individuals and families across Arizona can find connection, care, and community when they need it most.

“Cancer is hard, but finding support shouldn’t be. Cancer Support Community Arizona has built incredible trust across Arizona, and I’m honored to help expand that reach so more people can quickly find the support they need,” she said.

Kristen is a proven, mission‑driven leader. She previously served as CEO of notMYkid, guiding the organization through major growth and expansion, and spent 18 years in executive leadership at Community Bridges, Inc. Over the course of her career, she has secured more than $20 million in funding, led large‑scale initiatives, and built strong partnerships across healthcare, government, and philanthropy.

An Arizona resident and community builder at heart, Kristen is also a yogi, birder, and outdoor explorer who believes deeply in caring for the whole person—emotionally, socially, and beyond. Her approach aligns beautifully with everything CSCAZ stands for.

We’re energized by this next chapter and incredibly grateful for you, our donors, participants, and supporters, who make our work possible. Together, we’re building a future where no one has to navigate cancer alone.
