Cancer Support Community Arizona welcomes Aaron Dunn as Chief Development Officer, bringing more than 25 years of leadership experience across nonprofit organizations and faith-based communities. His background includes revenue growth, corporate partnerships, large-scale fundraising events, and team development.
Aaron previously served as Executive Director for the American Diabetes Association’s Desert Southwest market and held leadership roles with Blood Cancer United, formerly The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, in Arizona and Colorado. He has also led organizations serving older adults and people affected by substance use. Throughout his career, he has helped secure more than $20 million in funding.
At CSCAZ, Aaron will work alongside CEO Kristen Genovese and the development team to grow the organization’s reach and resources so more people across Arizona can access the help they need. His focus will include raising awareness of CSCAZ’s extensive free support services, strengthening community and corporate partnerships, and expanding support through individual giving, fundraising events, and legacy gifts. These efforts will help sustain existing programs and expand access for people impacted by cancer and their loved ones.
“There is so much support available through CSCAZ, and we want more people across Arizona to know about it,” Aaron said. “I’m excited to bring individuals, businesses, and community partners together to help us grow, reach more families, and ensure people know where to turn when cancer enters their lives.”
A proud Grand Canyon University alumnus, Aaron earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees there. Outside of work, he is a fine art photographer who enjoys creating memories with his family and serving his community through Axiom Church in Peoria.
