My name is Mary and I’m a Ovarian, Uterine and Breast Cancer Survivor. This is my story.

I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in June of 2002. After surgery, they said that I also had uterine cancer that was not a metastasis of the ovarian, but a cancer in its own.

The good news was, the stage was early stage 2. After surgery and chemotherapy I was finally declared cured. This year, in May, after my yearly mammogram, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Because of my past history, they did genetic counseling and I was found NOT to have any of the bad genes, which made a lumpectomy a viable option. After surgery, with clear margins and not finding of cancer in my lymph nodes, and after radiation, I am now in remission.

I have always kept a positive attitude. I am a survivor and my faith, family and friends have kept me going.
