Cancer Support Community Arizona has partnered with Crooked Sky Farms, to develop a Community Supported Agriculture Program aimed at providing local communities with better access to fresh organic produce at an affordable rate, while also offering the same benefit to families impacted by cancer, at no charge.

Did You Know? The average household spends about $80 on produce per week, adding up to $960 over a 12-week period!

A 12-week subscription cost only $432 – That’s a 55% savings of $528 and that doesn’t event count the benefit to

Cancer Support Community Arizona!

A Community Support Agriculture (CSA) Project is a partnership with a local farmer. It gives the local farmer a place to sell their produce, while making fresh locally-grown fruits and vegetables more accessible to community members like you! By purchasing a weekly CSA subscription, you will be receiving a share of organic fruits and vegetables, picked fresh by Crooked Sky Farms.

*You must be an active community participant currently receiving support from CSCAZ to qualify

How does your CSA subscription help Cancer Support Community Arizona?

By purchasing a Crooked Sky Farms CSA subscription through Cancer Support Community Arizona, you are helping us to put nutritious organic fruits and vegetables into the hands of our participants.

For each produce box purchased through CSCAZ, Crooked Sky Farms will donate an additional box to a participant receiving support from our community, providing them with nutritious vitamin-rich foods to support them in their recovery.

What does a subscription look like?

Each week you would bring your own bag/box/cooler and pick up a share of fruits and vegetables (and sometimes beans, berries or flowers).

How much Do I Get?

Shares come in 3 sizes (each item is a type of produce packaged as a bag, bunch, or basket of vegetable/fruits – i.e. 3 bell pepper, a basket of tomatoes, a pound of string beans):

Choosing a Quality Partner for the project

We partnered with Crooked Sky Farms for their reputation and quality of produce. Everything they grow is certified naturally grown, organic and non-GMO, ensuring the health benefits of their produce. And with produce locally sourced from farms across southwest region, they are able to offer a wider variety of fruits and vegetables.

Some of the great things you can expect from Crooked Sky Farms throughout the year are:

  • Heirloom Tomatoes
  • I’itois Onions
  • New Mexico Green Chile
  • Lemon Cucumbers
  • Pumpkins – For carving, baking or decorating
  • And the list goes on!

Produce selection varies season to season. Winter crops supply a variety of cooking and salad greens, root vegetables, broccoli, cauliflower, and citrus. As the year progresses, peas, tomatoes, corn, onion, cucumber, squash, melons, and many more fresh vegetables and fruits become available.
